We are proud to share that our Director, Punita Nook Naidu, was humbled to be invited as a panelist for UN-Habitat's Masterclass Webinar 4: Data Management and Digitisation — a global session convened as part of the Masterclass series on the Global Report on Sanitation and Wastewater Management in Cities and Human Settlements.

Masterclass Webinar 4 brought together practitioners working at the intersection of water, sanitation and digital technology to explore how better data management and digitisation can strengthen sanitation and wastewater services worldwide.
Representing H2O Datatech, Punita Nook Naidu joined fellow panelists Deepa Karthykeyan (Athena Infonomics), Emanuel Owako (WSUP), Zach White (GSMA Mobile) and Timothy Wanjohi (NAWASSCO) for a wide-ranging discussion on turning fragmented data into actionable insight for cities and human settlements.
Why data management and digitisation matter
Reliable sanitation and wastewater services depend on reliable data. Yet utilities and regulators across the globe still grapple with fragmented systems, inconsistent records and limited digital tooling — making it hard to plan, invest and respond with confidence.
The session explored how digitisation, interoperable data and analytics can close that gap: improving service delivery, supporting evidence-based regulation, and helping the sector measure progress toward safely managed sanitation for all.
A UN-Habitat-led initiative
The Masterclass is a UN-Habitat-led initiative with support from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Gates Foundation, with WSUP as consortium lead and Eawag as Masterclass partner. The Global Report consortium also includes Agua Consult, 2iE, UCLC, GSMA and ESAWAS.
Being part of this conversation reflects H2O Datatech's commitment to advancing data-driven water and sanitation management — and to sharing what we have learned building AI-powered platforms for resilient water resource management.
